GENERAL APPOINTMENTS FOR SPAY/ NEUTER
To schedule an Appointment for your pet for Spay/Neuter please call 850-243-1525 ext 13 or email: email@example.com anytime for an appointment. The W.F. Thorne Clinic was established in 1995, and its mission was chartered to:
- Prevent unwanted litters
- To educate the public on the rationale for altering their pets
- To provide a low cost program of spay, neuter, & public health treatments for pets
These services were provided to many animals that would not have otherwise received any medical care. As a result, the clinic now offers a variety of services to meet these objectives:
- Surgical spaying and neutering of cats, dogs and other types of pets
- Low cost vaccines and medications appropriate to treatment and prevention of diseases
- Heartworm, Feline Leukemia, and Feline Aids testing
- Medical and surgical treatment is available for pets who otherwise would not visit a veterinarian
AVAILABLE IN A VARIETY OF SIZES
All dogs and cats over three (3) months of age are required to receive a rabies vaccination administered by a licensed veterinarian. Either a one-year or a three-year vaccine may be used. It is illegal to vaccinate your own animals against rabies. The rabies vaccination tag is given by the veterinarian and should be attached to a collar or harness and worn by the pet at all times. The clinic now provides complete vaccinations, and other services in addition to sterilization. We suggest you have your animal signed in at least 15 minutes prior to clinic closing to ensure that you will be able to be seen that day.
Spay and Neuter
The W.F. Thorne Low Cost Spay/Neuter Clinic was established to assist us in reducing the number of stray animals in the community, to assist individuals in the community who could not pay for regular veterinary services, and to provide professional veterinary care for the animals housed in our shelter. The clinic, now entering its twenty- second year in operation, has been an enormous success. Since the opening in January 1995, the clinic has sterilized over 95,000 animals, helping to control the over population of dogs and cats in our community. With the help funding grants from PetSmart Charities, Florida Friendly Grants, and Build-A-Bear Foundation, PAWS has been able to continue our low cost, spay/neuter community programs.
