"D.D."
I am a beautiful male black Lab mix who was turned in to the shelter because my owners couldn't afford to take care of me anymore. I came to PAWS with my companion female dog, Chewy, who is my seeing-eye dog. I'M BLIND. I must be able to stay with Chewy and be adopted with her since I don't know how to get along on my own.
I'm a sweet boy with a wonderful temperament and I'm only 36 pounds so I wouldn't be too big for most homes. I知 neutered and ready to go home with you if you would choose to help me. I'm very disoriented and frightened here in this run and would like to go to a forever home where my friend and I would be safe and loved. Please visit with me and see how easy it would be for you to give a handicapped dog a happy home.
"Chewy"
I am the other half of the pair of dogs brought to the shelter because my owners said they couldn't afford us. I知 Chewy, a yellow Lab mix about 1 1/2 years old. I am the seeing-eye dog for my companion, D.D., and we must be adopted together. I had to live outside day and night at my previous home so I might need help with potty training, but I'm eager to please and should not be hard to work with.
I'm just 36 pounds so I'm not too big to take care of and my temperament test shows that I'm very people oriented, well mannered and agreeable to anything my testers put me through. I am the lifeline for D.D. and he is very confused and scared here so I知 hoping someone will adopt us soon.. I'm a spayed female and D.D. is neutered so we are ready to go home with you if we are a good fit. I hope you might be the family to save us and give us a safe, forever home. Please visit to see what good dogs we are!
"Augustus"
Are you looking to save a deserving dog who might need a little extra help? I'm Augustus and I'm a male Chihuahua mix with a heart murmur. I came to the shelter when Animal Control picked me up unattended on the streets. I'm 7 or 8 years old and I have a wonderful temperament. I love people and other little dogs and I can be very energetic. I'm housebroken and I walk nicely on a leash. I'm on medication and will probably need to be medicated most of my life or possibly for the rest of my life. An adult home with a quieter lifestyle where I can go for walks and be encouraged to take it a little easy would be excellent for me. I don't look or act sick and my caregivers know that I'm loving, sweet and grateful for attention. I like chewies and I love to sit in your lap and be cuddled. I'm just 13 pounds so I'm a good size for most any home. If you are an adult household or one with older teenagers who will understand my medical condition, please come to visit with me to see how sweet I am. I've been living in this crate since October and I would really like to be loved in a forever home.
I'm a 1 year old male who's a wonderful mix of Golden Retriever and Labrador Retriever. My family felt that they couldn't take care of me anymore and brought me to the shelter. I haven't had much of a family life so far anyway. I had to live outside day and night and didn't have much interaction with my owners who left me out there to entertain myself. I'm a sweet boy who loves people and I'm good with other dogs and cats. There were no children in the home but I like children and I'm good with them. I know how to sit and give you my paw and I'm very well mannered. My owners neglected my preventatives so I also have Heartworms because I was outside and unprotected. Heartworms are fatal if they are not treated. PAWS will treat me once I'm adopted and have a loving home to recuperate in out of this stressful environment. I'm still basically a puppy and I would love to live out my life in a forever home where I'm really part of the family. I'm a very beautiful, sweet dog who has so much love to give. Please visit with me and ask how easy it will be for you to help me with my Heartworm treatment and get me back on the road to a healthy, happy life. I will be so grateful to you for saving my life and you will be rewarded daily when you look into my soulful eyes.
I'm a 3 year old, male Beagle who was found running unattended on the streets. Animal Control brought me to PAWS in November. During my intake examination, it was found that I have Heartworms. Heartworms are fatal and I will die if I can't have treatment for them. The shelter will treat me once I have a loving home where I can recuperate outside of this very stressful environment that I'm living in now. I'm a very calm, loving dog whose temperament test shows that I'm very people oriented and friendly. I allowed my testers to check my teeth and touch my food and remained relaxed through it all. If you are a Beagle lover you値l agree that I'm a real find. Even if you haven't had Beagle experience, you will see that I would be a great family dog. I'm a small Beagle, just 20 pounds and I'm a quiet boy, not a barker. It is not difficult to see me through my treatment and if you adopt me, you will never regret having saved my life. Please visit me at PAWS.
We are 2 1/2 year old Corgi mixes with a special need. I知 Nina, the female, and I'm deaf. We were adopted from the shelter 2 years ago when my brother, Jasper, and I were just puppies. We have been together all our lives and we need to go to a new forever home together since I'm very dependent on him and he is just as dependent on me. Our owner loves us very much and was sad to give us up but she has a catastrophic illness and didn't have a choice. We are very sweet dogs with good energy but we are also well behaved in a crate together if necessary. We are housebroken, walk nicely on a leash and are friendly happy dogs. We池e both good with children but because I'm deaf we should go to a home with children 8 years or older. I know hand signals and any new owner will be given a copy of them. There are not many signals to learn and they're easy to remember. We like to play ball and chase the light from a flashlight. Jasper responds to sit, down and he begs and he can dance! We each weigh about 22 pounds so we are an easy fit for any house or apartment. We are already spayed and neutered and ready to go to a caring family. Won't you please give my brother and I a forever home? We are beautiful, loving dogs and you will never regret having saved us.

I'm a beautiful Coon Hound mix who was caught in a fence and brought to the shelter with an injured leg. My leg required several surgeries and I've been recuperating in the PAWS medical clinic since September. I'm well enough now to be adopted to my forever home. I'm just 13 months old, a very calm female with a loving nature and I would be great with children. I'm housebroken in a cage and I walk on a leash. My caregivers in the clinic say I'm a very good dog and would be a wonderful addition to any household. On top of all the trouble I've had with my leg, I'm also Heartworm positive. Heartworms are fatal for a dog and I need to be adopted to a caring home so I can be treated for them. The treatment is very easy to help me with but I need to be out of this stressful environment to recuperate. Please visit with me to see what a wonderful dog I am and how easy it will be to save the life of a sweet girl who is still a puppy. I will be so grateful to have your love and you will never regret having saved me.
